May 26, 2012 A Marquette University said Friday that she planned on producing an animated web series this fall. The YouTube series would help all incoming freshman students from any university with their first year of college. The series would also show minority students what issues they could face at a predominantly white institution. Casby Bias, a junior in the Diederich College of Communication, said she thought of the idea the first semester of her sophomore year. The "Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl" series helped her proceed with the dream. "I think making a series would be cool," Bias said. "I could give it a journalistic twist, too, like my current blog."
